MedSkills Catalyst is India's career-transition academy for the medical device and MedTech industry. We help pharma medical representatives, life-science graduates, and healthcare professionals move into commercial and clinical roles at the world's leading medical device companies.
Why we exist
The MedTech industry in India is growing fast, but there is no clear on-ramp into it. Talented people from pharma and life-science backgrounds have the aptitude to succeed, yet they struggle to break in because the clinical language, hospital procurement processes, and commercial expectations are never taught anywhere. We built MedSkills Catalyst to close that gap — with a rigorous, mentor-led programme designed around exactly what MedTech employers wish new hires already knew.
What we do
We run an intensive six-week, live online cohort programme that takes candidates from a non-device background to corporate readiness. The curriculum covers clinical and surgical foundations, operating-room workflows, hospital tenders and procurement, objection-handling, and interview readiness — followed by direct introductions to hiring managers and structured onboarding support once an offer lands.
Every module is shaped in direct collaboration with MedTech leaders, so what we teach maps to real roles at companies like Medtronic, Stryker, Johnson & Johnson, Abbott, and Boston Scientific.
Who teaches
Our faculty are not academics — they are leaders who have spent decades building, selling, and hiring at the world's top medical device companies.
- Gagan Victor — Co-Founder & Program Director. Former leader at Pfizer, BMS, Medtronic India, and Stryker, overseeing cardiovascular and surgical device portfolios.
- Shilpi Babbar — Co-Founder & Skills Enhancement Coach. ICBI-NABET certified coach with 11+ years in coaching and career counselling, specialising in communication, emotional intelligence, and interview readiness.
- Dr. Vincent Keny, PhD — Executive Coach & Leadership Mentor. Ex-Boston Scientific, ICF Certified Coach, and MIT Sloan alumnus with 25+ years of global corporate leadership experience.
